It will not alter water parameters or cause harm to shrimp.

This shrimp cave is very compact and well built. It has a ramp down both sides and has several hiding spaces inside. It is open on one side and when pressed against the glass works well. Good purchase.I would advise the users not to place shrimp food in the cave. It draws the fish inside the cave and you have to pull the cave out of the substrate to free the fish. First hand experience.
The shrimp love it. The fish even like to check it out if there’s food in it. Smaller than it appears in the ad but it’s perfect for shrimp.
I bought two of theses for both of my 5.5 gallon nano tanks. In my opinion, the product looks good. It’s extremely sturdy. Perfect size too. I also purchased a bottom dweller cave from this company and my fish love it.
